Sahumo Cones are inspired by Mon-Koh, a Japanese style fragrance ceremony that appreciates pure aromatic wood fragrance.
Mon-Koh can be literally translated to “smell” or to “listen” to fragrances.
In the case of Sahumo, I wanted to work solely with natural resins and Makko.
The core of listening to incense is about going beyond the sense of smell and embarking on a journey of surrender by stepping into the unknown.
When we quiet our minds and open ourselves up, it becomes an experience of listening with our whole being and tapping into the true knowledge of the universe.
The fragrance becomes our guide and the key to being present in the moment and allows for a deeper insight into not only the elements that make up the fragrance, but also a deeper insight into ourselves.

I absolutely love the alluring scent of the Sahumo Cones, which for many reasons have become my favorite incense to burn. It helps clear my space when the energy is too charged, and can also lift the energy when it feels stagnant. Kind of like an energetic adaptogen for your space! This incense is beautifully crafted with the highest quality ingredients. There are no unnecessary additives so it burns clean. As a result, the smell is exceptional. You can actually smell the resins and other ingredients as they are meant to be experienced. As soon as you light a cone, you are transported into a sense of serenity. It is a special treat that my family and I enjoy as the scent fills our space.
I have been a yoga teacher and a yogi for decades and nothing enhances my practice more than these. In addition, anytime I need to reset these are my go to. No chemicals & handmade and the elevation to your senses is an experience we all should have. I wish I could give 10 stars.
